Kenya

In 2005, the first Farmers’ Field School (FFS) was established in the Maseno Region, Western Kenya.

Maseno is a region made up of mostly rural communities. The average farm size is around one acre, so there are a lot of farms and a lot of people!

Farmers grow maize, corn and beans for their staple diet until they learn about the benefits of crop diversity and how much this improves their diet from FFS.

We are now in 10 regions around Kenya.
